The Potez 58 traveled a top speed of 118 miles per hour, had a cabin that sat three, and was fitted with a 150 h.p. Potez six cylinder radial motor. This particular style of Potez 58 was popular in 1935 and was used until World War II, at which point every plane was requisitioned for military use.
More than 300 Potez three -seater passenger aircraft were built and sold between 1934-1936. These planes were an improved and modified form of the Potez model 43.
The plane manufacturer, Henry Potez, built his first airplane in 1917 with the help of Marcel Dassault. Between 1923 and 1925 Henry Potez established a plane factory ninety minutes North of Paris. Potez produced many successful French airplanes. Between World War I and World War II the Potez 58 successfully competed in each race it entered.
