City of Brussels -- Inauguration of the Port of Brussels. THE CIRCUIT OF THREE RIVERS, Escaut, Rhine, Meuse. September 19th to 26th, 1914. International Seaplane and Gliding Boat Contest. Organized under the auspices of the City of Brussels by the Aero Club of Belgium.

The "Circuit of Three Rivers," organized by the Aero Club of Belgium, was scheduled from September 19th to the 26th, 1914, but never took place due to the German invasion of Belgium and the outbreak of the First World War in August. According to the announcement for the race in La Revue Aerienne, the contest was also sponsored by the Dutch and German Aero Clubs. The contestants in their hydroplanes were to stop in several cities along the Rhine, Escaut and Meuse rivers during this seven day competition, including Duisburg and Dusseldorf, Germany.
