This poster entitled, Pilotes d’Avions was characterized as a sister image to the Jeunes Francais. Jeunes Francais was the De Valerio poster of the same theme. Both posters had similar color including sepia toned backgrounds and red, white, and blue graphics. The poster encourages the youth of France to fulfill their mandatory military service in the air force: “You can accomplish your military service with airplane pilots and receive preliminary instruction in the civil schools of pilots at the expense of the state. Eligible candidates should be at least 17 ½ years of age to apply.”
