Description:

The Compagnie Aerienne Francaise (C.A.F.) had a short but important career from 1919 to 1922. C.A.F. was founded in 1919 and began service on April 17 between Nimes and Nice. Aiming to serve passengers who wanted to spend the winter months at the French Riviera, CAF began an experimental route service in collaboration with Air Transport in February 1920. British passengers began their journey from London, traveled to Paris via Air Transport, and then to Avignon by way of the French sleeping car. From Avignon these passengers could then boarded a C.A.F. plane and flew to Nice.
